england still need to work on keeping possession - but some excellent defending in numbers - parker and the age of some of the newcomers were the obvious highlights

Please try to keep the "England are gonna win the world cup" comments to a minimum guys It's hard enough as it is without having to laugh at you guys for being over optimistic/patriotic

It was a good result in a friendly match against one of the best teams in the world, BUT its just that A FRIENDLY. . .

To be fair, both Spain and England are teams that rarely plays to their potential. Course England always shoots itself in the foot by letting tabloids affect their team decisions.

For example Peter Crouch was an awesome striker for England, his England record speaks for itself, but for some reason the papers slandered him and low and behold he is out of the squad. Terry being removed from captaincy, Beckham being excluded from the squad, etc, etc. I think the biggest problem England have in World Cup competition is the press back home

It was a case of parking the bus and hoping for a break at the other end and if it was on here the tactics would be exert a lot and mostly defence lol

in the event england have what it takes to battle through their euro group, they might well have to repeat this for real next time

Yeah, I heard the got France, Ukraine and Sweden in thier group.
